A Tale of Three Tales

Local playwright and director Will Ledesma and a talented group of young performers with the Wellington Community Theater (WCT) are bringing audiences a whimsical new production this month. Their performance—based on some of the world’s lesser-known fairy tales—will take the stage October 24–26, 2025, at Memorial Auditorium.

Young Explorers Discover Careers Downtown

Last Thursday, staff at the Wellington Daily News office—and many other downtown businesses—had the privilege of welcoming third- and fourth-grade students from Eisenhower, Washington, Kennedy, and Lincoln Elementary Schools. The students visited local workplaces as part of a unique Career Day experience organized by Wellington High School CTE instructor Rane Case and Cherity Elder, Principal of Eisenhower Elementary.

Spirit Week, All Week

Students across USD 353 schools celebrated Homecoming Spirit Week with a burst of creativity and Crusader pride, dressing up for a new theme each day under this year’s festival-inspired motto, “Crusaders at Coachella.”
